absolutely loved my stay at houndgate townhouse! the building was super nice and really fit in with the whole vibe of darlington. my room was cozy with a fantastic bed, and breakfast was a treat with a lot of choices. gotta say, the veggie cooked breakfast was super tasty and so filling! the car park at the back is cheap too, just £2 for the night.

only two tiny things bothered me, no draught beers available which was a bit of a letdown, and no tea/coffee facilities in the room, would’ve liked a cuppa in bed.

Just an optimal selection for a two-day stay in Darlington with good price-quality ratio. Jake and Becca were fantastic and made our time enjoyable. Check if the restaurant is open as it was closed when we went.

The cocktails were excellent, but the room was unbearably hot without control.

We had a fantastic stay, enjoying the beautiful decor in our spotless room and the delicious breakfast featuring local produce. Relaxing in the lovely bar and checking out the garden area made our visit even better. The only downside was some noise from the outside late at night, but it didn’t ruin our experience at all. Don’t miss the eggs royale at breakfast! 👌

The dining scene here is a real belter! With Al Forno just a short stroll away, I had some ace Italian grub. The breakfast spread was top-notch, offering a proper feast to kickstart the day. The restaurant was buzzing, clearly a local fave for a reason!

Only snag was the late-night noise from revellers nearby, but it didn’t ruin the fun. The view from my room was a bit dodgy, facing a car park, but it didn't dampen my spirits.

The breakfast was like nothing I've experienced before, I mean they had everything you could ask for. And the staff were always there in an instant, like they could sense when you needed help.

It wasn't exactly inexpensive but worth every penny, trust me.

Had an awesome time in the luxurious bridal suite. The free-standing bath was perfect for a romantic soak!
